Y U No Snow?!

Where's the snow? It's snowed a few times, but it's just been slight smatterings. It is never fully Christmas until you have a lot of snow on the ground (unless you live in a tropical place, in which you can't really have a full Christmas). I believe that I speak for the majority of the Madison High School student body when I say this: Bring On the Snow!

Creative Spiting

How do people get creativity? Lots of people in the world say that they don't have an ounce of creativity, but they are totally wrong... to a point. Sure, there are a lot of ideas that have been spread around, but there is still a lot of untapped potential. I find that the more I read, the more I find that no one will write the stories that I want to, so I guess I'll just have to make it!

Today, one of the girls at my school had an attempted suicide. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, and I am told that she is now doing okay. But I have been depressed today, mostly because I was hoping and praying for her in my heart that she would not only recover from her injury, but also that she would receive the help she needed to overcome her despair that led her to this attempt on her life. I hope that I am never placed into that situation, and if I am, I hope that my family will be there to help and support me. I am grateful to you all, and I hope you have a happy holiday season!

Nothing Important Here

I've decided that not much is going to happen besides the Christmas season, so I have made the decision to postpone my blogging until the season is over. I might make a few if something really important comes up, but otherwise, I'll be as silent as Fluttershy wearing headphones. PONIES!!!

A Mile in His Shoes

Before I go on with my thought, I just have to share something:
"Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes." That way, if he gets mad at you, he's a mile away, and he's barefooted!
But in all seriousness, this phrase has often been used when someone wants to judge a person badly, when they might be a good person. However, I have also noticed that, a rarely used version of it, is when you think a person is nice, and you try to be nice to them, but they turn out to be a jerk. I would be careful, because you never know when you might offend somebody.
I'm not saying this to be negative, but I just want you to know that you must get to know a person before you have any negative feelings about them.
On another note, I know the holiday season is pretty busy for a lot of the adult readers of my blog, so I am okay with you not responding to these posts, but I just need to express myself sometimes, and I feel that writing is a good way for me to do that.

All year Round

Giving thanks doesn't have to be done only on Thanksgiving.
Being kind shouldn't only be done on Christmas.
Resolutions aren't just for New Year's Day.
Making yourself a happier person isn't just for the holidays. It should be celebrated all day, and every day. Food for thought.

Chi Whiz

I know, it's a lame joke. But lately I've gotten to thinking that I worry too much about... well, pretty much everything. I worry about my grades, my social skills, my crushes (no comments about this, please!), my family relations...the list goes on and on. So starting today, for my family prayer, I am going to ask for more peace of mind and less stress in my life. However, I am also going work on this particular issue. I will try to get more sleep, eat healthier, and be more social, so that I can have less headaches (and heartburn).

Lazy Daze

I love lazy days. Days when you can be free from responsibility until your next school week. I am going to miss my dad while he is in New York, but I hope and pray that he will be safe and have fun!
